About the Creator

Hi, I’m Kristoffer Lindvall, the creator of Filtrera.

For over 17 years, I’ve been working as a software developer, architect, and designer, focusing primarily on complex business applications. My career has taken me through building web, desktop, and server solutions, running my own business, and consulting for companies on their IT strategy—often revolving around ERP systems and system integrations.

Throughout this journey, I repeatedly encountered the same challenge: the need to safely execute custom, user-defined logic. Whether it was for a dynamic pricing rule, a complex order validation check, or a customer-specific data transformation, the risk of introducing instability with a general-purpose scripting language was always a major concern.

I needed a tool that was:

  • Powerful enough to handle real-world business complexity.
  • Readable enough for business analysts to understand and even write.
  • Safe enough to run in a production environment without threatening the core application.

That tool didn’t exist in the way I envisioned it, so I decided to build it. That’s how Filtrera was born.

Filtrera is the culmination of my experience in software architecture and business systems. It is designed to be the language I wish I’d had all those years—a total, functional expression language that provides power and predictability in equal measure.

My goal is for Filtrera to empower developers and businesses to build more flexible, robust, and secure systems.
